The GEORGE is located on George St in Haymarket (Sydney) and is centrally located to the City Centre, The Rocks, Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, Chinatown, and more. Although The George has been operating in this Sydney location for many years, the building is now under new management. The GEORGE has undergone a refurbishment prior to opening it’s doors again to the public mid 2021.

Are you looking for a clean & competitively priced place to stay in the heart of the Sydney city? The GEORGE offers low cost, affordable accommodation to both medium and long term guests with minimum stay periods starting from 2 months.

With a mixture of rooms across 3 levels, The George can accommodate Singles, Friends, Couples, and Families in our various room types:

• Single Rooms (single bed)
• Double Rooms (double bed)
• Twin Rooms (2 single bunk beds)
• Family Rooms (double bed + 2 single bunk beds)
• Dormitory / Group type rooms with a 4 person maximum (2 x 2 single bunk beds).
• For extra privacy and comfort, we also have a limited number of double rooms with ensuites.

All rooms are private, lockable rooms. No rooms are shared with unknown persons.
All rooms (except ensuites) share bathroom facilities.
All rooms share a refreshed common kitchen area and Common Room (free wifi).
